My favorite plug in of all time! i use it on vocals but it definitely can be used on multiple other things such as different instruments and more. No I never used an actual Neve board so I’m not too sure how it comoares sound wise to the real deal but this plug-in sound so crisp clean and yet dynamicly warm but mainly makes whatever you throw it in cut thru the mix with a tweak of a few parameters and i love it, this plug-in is definitely essential in my mixing and mastering process for vocals and occasionally other instrument tracks now.

The expander enables quiet recordings that have the rich body of Neve color. The color comes from the units modules and each has a flavor. In addition to the Red NEVE knob, I use the gain in the compression module to bring my recording up to a robust level without maxing out the NEVE knob. This and the EQ each has a flavor, and I prefer the compression modules warm presence (and gain knob), to the EQ's body. (This is with compression settings off, because this is a raw recording being printed live).
I get the sound I want, and eliminate the noise I don't want during the recording.
That's what I call a great start.

I have to write another review after using the Neve 88RS plugin for a long time. This plugin has really helped me take my mixes to the next level with how good it sounds. Its sound is really warm and natural. The treble on its EQ has the right spark here, the whole sound feels really expensive. Great and inspiring channel strip. Thank you UA.

This was the only Channel Strip I didn't own and I regret not getting it sooner. I own a real Neve preamp and this sounds exactly like it. The compression is incredible and has a vibe to it. Everything is colored in a wonderful way.
